Getting to play something which is still a bit real and not having the stress if something goes wrong is a very good thing.
People don’t like the Logitech wheels so much, but, of course, we all can recognize that the wheels are much better than a controller when talking about running a racing sim. Do not just blindly agree with this, we did a lot of research to get the same kind of information. Looking at the official website, viewer comments on YouTube, bulletin boards, and other such sources and made several important annotations regarding the product, and finally, after considering all of this, agreed to try out the product.
Before we go deeper, firstly we will see what things you'll need:
A nice sturdy desk or if available, a wheel stand or heaven, a sim racing rig. The standard mounts that come attached to the wheelbase are adequate for racing but you’ll get a little bit of fore-and-aft movement while driving.
Pedal positioning will only be restricted to the size of the cord that has to be connected to the wheelbase. Noise:

Eventually, we feared that the leather may wear off given the kind of treatment it is exposed to in normal use. Therefore, we would personally suggest racing with gloves on particularly for a better grip on the wheel and to reduce the wearing on the steering’s leather.
Pedals:
When it comes to pedals, hard-mounted is without a doubt the best way to go. Placing them on a carpet is a little better than on hard floors since the grippers are there anyway but this did not stop the pedals from shifting around when driving. As we have mentioned before, Logitech’s engineers appeared to understand this and offer you hard-mount points on the pedals as well.
The operation of the gas and the clutch pedal was smooth just as we expected it to be. The only real feedback that we’d have is that the springs feel a bit weak, the springs that are part of the speaker setup feel a little flimsy. You definitely will not be able to use clunky shoes with the pedal system, and many participants have been advised to go for running shoes or even race in socks. Using karting shoes will be somewhat more comfortable since you will have a bit of a sole on the bottom of your foot when sim racing.
Upgrades:
The most basic and probably the best upgrade that you can do in your G29 is the H-Pattern Shifter. Because this lets you get full use of your clutch so that you have a full manual gearbox while you are driving.
The only downside to adding this upgrade: You have to locate where to mount the shifting unit also.
This is once again why we suggest that you buy a wheel stand or sim rig for the G29 and improve your general experience. Many sim racers have built makeshift wheel stands and some full-on sim racing rigs with a few visits to the home improvement store.

Logitech G29 Driving Force is a stunning buy for any driving game lover who will transition their game to full-on sim racing in the long run. Apart from a few irritations such as gear-driven system noise, and movement of the wheel bar and pedals unless hard connected.
We admittedly can’t say it’s objectively better or worse than Thrustmaster as we have no experience with their offerings, but we can say one thing: really, this wheel is one of the most recommended first-time products that you can get at such a value for your money.
